Storytelling is and has always been fundamental to the human experience, whether as a way of self-expression or to record histories and cultures. For me, storytelling is way to resist the brokenness of the world by using it to uphold human dignity, keep power accountable, build understanding and share beauty. I’ve had the great honor of writing about religion, politics, education, contemporary art and social justice issues for a variety of publications, including the Miami Herald, Facing South, Covering Religion, the Midtown Gazette, Hill Magazine and the Arkansas Traveler.
